What was the reason for joining the company?
Since I was in the mechanical department at the industrial high school, my teacher recommended this company by saying, "If you're in the mechanical department, this company is good," and I participated in a factory tour. Inside the factory, there were many machines lined up, and it was very clean. The employees were also kind, and I thought it was really a good company.
What is your current job?
Currently, I belong to the Global Production Department, providing production support to each factory. The mission of this department is to understand the status of all factories and processes within the company while providing appropriate support, and to gather information to increase productivity and share it across the company, thereby building a higher-level production system. Literally on a global scale, I have been spending exciting days that are hard to experience, such as traveling to Mexico to provide support and training to local employees for quality improvement. Our factories are located not only in Mie Prefecture, where our headquarters is based, but also in Saitama, Kyushu, and overseas in Thailand and Indonesia, and I look forward to seeing which area I can go to next.
About the sense of fulfillment
Our company has an internal skills competition called the Global Olympics, and at the recommendation of my boss, I participated and won first place in the "Hand Plating" category. When you win domestically, representatives from the global factories gather for the world competition. I stayed in Thailand for about a week, competing with representatives from each factory, and I was truly delighted when I became the global champion there. The president and the management team held a grand award ceremony for me, and I received a magnificent trophy. It is challenging to acquire skills through trial and error, but opportunities for recognition like this motivate me to keep going. In my current department, there is a demand to standardize technology with a global perspective, and I find it rewarding to be at the forefront of evolving manufacturing technology and to exchange ideas with engineers from various countries.
Regarding future goals
The Advanced Leveling Promotion Division of the Global Production Department I belong to is a new team that will be fully operational from 2024. Our goal is to establish the presence of this team within the company and become a reliable entity for everyone across the organization. To achieve this, I want to grow more myself.
