What was the reason for joining the company?
What connected me to Trix was the "Strawberry Farm." While I was starting my job search and researching various companies, I happened to visit the "Strawberry Farm" that Trix was operating as a separate business. That piqued my interest and I attended the information session. It's a strange connection, thinking that I wouldn't have met them if it weren't for the Strawberry Farm (laughs).
What is your current job?
I am responsible for measurement tasks in the quality control department. Using various specialized equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and three-dimensional measuring machines, I measure the precision of products to a thousandth of a millimeter. The measurement points differ depending on the product, and at times, I have to measure more than 30 points on a single product. This job carries a very important responsibility; if we make a measurement error, it could result in mass-produced items numbering in the hundreds of thousands being released into the market, which could potentially affect the safety of vehicles. This job requires a high level of concentration, so during work, I quietly carry out the measurement tasks while diligently working to avoid any mistakes.
About the sense of fulfillment.
It is a job that comes with pressure and tension, but when I take a step back and look at my work, I think it is rewarding precisely because it is a responsible job. Also, when it comes to measurement work, it is often thought to be just about measuring dimensions and determining whether they are acceptable or not, but in reality, there is also an aspect of being involved in product development. For example, when developing a new product, I participate as a member of the development team by measuring prototypes created by developers from the design department and engineers from the manufacturing department, while discussing together what needs to be improved. It often takes multiple attempts to create a good product; when we finally meet the standards after about ten tries, we all high-five and celebrate.
Regarding future goals
The seniors are skilled at using measuring instruments, and their inspection speed is fast and measurements are accurate. First, I want to catch up with those seniors. After that, I would also like to challenge myself in quality assurance, such as negotiating quality matters with customers and providing quality guidance to suppliers.
